About Your Inspector

Butterfield Inspection Services, Inc has been serving the Metro DC area since 1971. He is has also been performing inspections in Delaware since 2018. Merrill Johnson has worked extensively in the building industry. He purchased Butterfield Inspection Services, Inc. (a well-respected and established local firm) in 1996. Since then, Merrill has performed over 15,000 inspections. It is important to remember when hiring Butterfield Inspection Services, Inc. that you are hiring the owner of the company, who will give you his attention to detail. Merrill says "I own my own company, do my own scheduling, and complete my reports on site, which keeps my overhead down."

Merrill is married with two daughters, and enjoys road and mountain biking, as well as skiing,  kayaking and motorcycling.
